Kim Teems was raised in Atlanta, Georgia, where she attended Portfolio Center and began her design career. In 1988, she moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, and continued her education in print design, as well as web design. In 2001, after graduating from Northwestern Technical College in Computer Science, she co-founded Road Rash Magazine, a local motorcycle events magazine, where she was responsible for the design, layout, photography, and web design, as well as event coverage. In 2004 she continued her freelance career in print design and web design. In 2010, Kim returned to the magazine business with KickStand Up! Magazine until 2012, when she became Communications & Program Director for her favorite chairty FACES The National Craniofacial Association. She is now expanding her career once again into the Computer Aided Drafting and Design field and attending Chattanooga State Community College for a Design Drafting degree.
